Family, Single and/or casual date night friendly diner. All around Good, old everyone knows your name neighborhood diner. Food consisted of typical cafe/diner food from breakfast to dinner. We got a cheeseburger and fries, drinks and a breakfast plate. Service was friendly and attentive.

George's is one of the survivors in a world, unfortunately becoming devoid of that classic diner. Not fancy, reasonably priced, and having great food and service, George's is reminiscent of the classic great-spoon diner. Warm, comfy, and a great neighborhood treasure, George's serves the classics and then some. I came in to grab a great breakfast and couldn't finish my meal for all the food given to me. In a world filled with over-priced brunch spots and bad service, George's is my go to for some good basic classic breakfast that will not break the bank - you'll feel like you're having Saturday breakfast at Grandma's or rather your uncle's place.

Ordered food for delivery with an eta of 30 mins. I would say it arrived on time. The food was good. Only issue is I thought the Nutella French toast was stuffed with Nutella not glazed with it outside. Total was 48$ for Nutella French toast eggs bacon, pancakes with eggs and a bagel with cream cheese. A bit on the pricy side.

Solid diner fare with great service and great ambiance. Nothing much to look at from the outside but lots of character once you get inside. Went with my brother and his girlfriend a few days back and feasted on fried calamari, meatloaf. a burger and a Cobb salad. The salad and the calamari were both great and the burger and meatloaf just fine. A bit more expensive than I expected but not too bad. My brother now lives in the area so I'm sure he will be back

We love George's because it's simple and unpretentious. Whenever we come here, we get served right away and the staff are friendly. Their menu is also great and offers a variety of brunch all day long. Highly recommend!

I ordered a gyro platter, and surprisingly, the salad and dolma were my favorite bites! The gyro itself was also quite tasty, smothered in tzatziki sauce. I'm deducting a point mostly because service was insanely slow. They were busy at the start of the lunch rush, but still.

If New York had greasy spoons, this would be the perfect restaurant to exemplify it. For a fair price, you get a generous amount of food, that will get you through that late night you had last night, or that early morning owie you so badly need to rid of. It also helps they are close by the Q train, so getting here should not be a problem. In other words, get your coffee or juice, eat your breakfast, and move along.

This is a wonderful place, an oasis in our neighborhood. Warm friendly kindness comes with every dish, every glass of iced tea. Strangers get the same sweet welcoming treatment as regulars whose names and preferences are known. Spiritula and her husband make everyone feel like family in an undramatic way, and that means a great deal. The food is straightforward and honest: what's advertised on the menu is what comes out of the kitchen: the omelets, the Greek salad, the wraps and more. Nothing tastes old or stale or out of the can, and that is saying something. We ate lunch there today, and while I was waiting for our order, I looked around the crowded room: the conversations sounded happy and people were smiling. Yes, you could say that the clientele entered happy, but I think of George's as a proven mood-enhancer. You should try it!

Updated Review - 3 years later! I still love George's as much as I did 3 years ago. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. George is always around too. There are some days where all I want is to sit in George's and have some chocolate chip pancakes. Today when we sat for breakfast they handed us a much smaller menu than normal. Although you can no longer order chicken parm at 10am, they are focusing on what they do best in the AM and added so many menu items!! Dinner menu stayed the same but with new items added! Today's order: New Item: Breakfast Panini 2x sunny side up eggs Side of toast Short stack of chocolate chip pancakes Side of corn beef hash We'll be back!!

Brooklyn!! Absolutely loved George's and the little area we stayed in close to our AirBnb. Small, quaint place with lots of atmosphere!! I got the silver dollar pancakes-- so good! Coffee hit the spot! Lots to choose from on this menu I am sure it's all delicious!
